I ordered the dog hound blanket as my daughter loves her Golden Retriever. Maisie is her name and that dog is a part of our whole family. Claire loves her Maisie blanket. This was absolutely a great idea. I saw it advertised on Good Morning America tv show for a Christmas gift. We had recently lost our beloved Australian Shepherd due to her age. So I decided to try Sweater Hound. The blanket looks just like the picture I sent of our Aussie and our pug. It was fantastic. I can’t say anything bad about it. I had one of these done for me that burned up in a wildfire last year, but when two friends lost an outrageously beautiful and outrageously loved dog, I thought of Sweaterhound. To say the gift was well received is a true understatement.
Last year I ordered a blanket for a friend with the image of his dog, Hank wearing a bowtie. It was a perfect image, and a great quality blanket as well. I had some technical issues during the ordering process, but Amy guided me through it and was very accommodating. It was like she was a friend! This year, Amy sent me Hank's image wearing a Renaissance Era outfit, making him appear as a regal king, and it was perfect, so I knew I had to order it as a canvas. The actual canvas arrived within days, and appears as if it was a painted portrait. Elegant, rich looking, and an exact image of King Hank! I can't recommend Sweater Hound enough for the pet parent...or friend of one...who wants a high quality, one of a kind replica of their pet depicted on their choice of a myriad of items. What type of photo should I send?
Any photo of your dog is acceptable, however, if you want to make sure we see all of the unique aspects of your dog please make sure it's a clear photo.
Can I review the artwork?
Yes, we can let you review the artwork. We will reach out to you after our designers have finished and will let you give us your feedback. Your happiness is our happiness.
What is your lead time?
As all items are custom made, we ask that you give us 3 - 4 weeks to make and ship your order. All items are shipped USPS priority mailing and arrive within 3 - 5 business days.
Can you do expedited orders?
Unfortunately not as all items are custom made.
What is your return policy?
As every garment we make is made to order for each customer, we are unable to offer returns.
Are there any limitations?
Currently, our designs are limited to only four colors for the entire sweater. This is due to the knitting machines that we use. We will work with you to help pick the best four colors but please be mindful to our limitations.
With some dogs, we need to change background colors due to the design you choose. We do our best but please pay attention to our proofs. The background color of your proof is the body color of your sweater.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we do! You can choose your shipping method when you check out. However, please note we do not add in duties, therefore it is your responsibility to hand the duties.
