• I have a GMA voucher. How do I use it? Head to our GMA voucher page — it walks you through it in four steps. Pick the item your voucher is for (blanket, sweater, or 9x12 canvas), upload your pet's photo, and enter your six-character voucher code in the discount box at checkout. Vouchers are valid until 1/15/2027.
• What type of photo should I send? Any photo of your dog is acceptable, however, if you want to make sure we see all of the unique aspects of your dog please make sure it's a clear photo. Also check out our Photo Guide Here
• Can I review the art work? Yes, we can let you review the artwork. We will reach out to you after our designers have finished and will let you give us your feedback. Your happiness is our happiness.
• What is your lead time? As all items are custom made, we ask that you give us 3 - 4 weeks to make and ship your order. We send tracking as soon as the orders ship.
• Can you do expedited orders? Yes, during the holidays. Everything we make is custom, so we normally need 3 - 4 weeks. Our holiday order deadline is [DATE]. If you miss it, you can add Holiday Rush ($50) to your order and we'll make and ship it in time for Christmas.
• What is your return policy? As every garment we make is made to order for each customer, we are unable to offer returns. Once we start drawing an image refunds are no longer allowed.
• Are there any limitations? For knitted items (sweaters, blankets, pillows), our designs are limited to four colors total, including the background. This is due to the knitting machines that we use. We will work with you to help pick the best four colors but please be mindful of our limitations. With some dogs, we need to change background colors depending on the design you choose. Please pay attention to your proof. The background color of your proof is the body color of your sweater. Our 9x12 canvas portraits are hand-drawn in full color, so no color limit applies.
• Do you ship internationally? Yes, we do. You can choose your shipping method when you check out. However, please note we do not add in duties, so it is your responsibility to handle any duties.
• Do I get to see the image before production? Yes, we will send you a proof to approve before production. We will not go to production until we hear back from you.
• Can I send multiple photos in for my item? Yes, please feel free to send those other photos to hello@sweaterhound.com
• How long does the process take? It typically takes 3 to 4 days to get a proof, and 3 to 4 weeks from proof approval for your order to be made and shipped. Certain times of year may be a bit longer, but we will keep you updated.
• Can you do cats? Yes, we love all animals. Cats and dogs are part of our standard pricing model. If you have an animal other than a cat or dog, we have a unique animal design and can work with you on the design. Here is the custom design fee
• Can you do more than one pet on an item? Yes, we can on certain items. Pillows and canvas portraits are one pet, Sweaters are up to two pets, Blankets are up to four pets and Hoodies can do three or more pets. With our products we do have color limitations, our knitted items such as blankets and sweaters and pillows have a limit of four total colors including background colors. Our embroidered items have five color limits.
